Dr. Maya Georges Assi, DMD
Since she was a little girl, Dr. Maya Assi has been intrigued by dentistry. Her mother was a dentist and in the years accompanying her to the office, she developed a love for the profession.
Dr. Maya Assi wanted nothing more than to open her own practice after watching her mother succeed. She attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, where she received her doctor of dental medicine degree in 2007.
She met Dr. Tarek Assi at college and after graduation, they founded Alpha Dental in 2011. Dr. Maya Assi is fluent in four languages besides English (Spanish, Creole, Arabic, and French), so she can reach a broad scope of patients.
Dr. Maya Assi is experienced in both cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign®–she’s a preferred provider, meaning she’s demonstrated her expertise in successful Invisalign treatment plans. For her, there’s no better feeling than seeing a patient have a positive reaction to their dental care.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are your tips for better oral hygiene at home?
Generally, a good at-home oral hygiene routine consists of brushing your teeth twice a day, flossing once a day, and rinsing with suitable mouthwash. We recommend using a soft-bristled toothbrush because hard bristles can cause damage to your teeth.
If you’d like personal recommendations on the kinds of products that would be best for you, your dentist can help you. At your appointment, simply ask for tips on your at-home oral hygiene. We can recommend the best practices for your unique situation.
