After years of searching for a dentist who truly embraces a biological approach to oral health, I finally found exactly what I was looking for at Alpha Dental Practice with Dr. Maya.

Unlike the traditional "drill and bill" model that is so common in dentistry today, Dr. Maya takes the time to understand the whole person. My initial consultation lasted a few hours and included an incredibly thorough evaluation. She performed a full-body assessment, a dental cone beam scan (which was one of my primary goals in finding a local biological dentist), comprehensive testing, and biocompatibility blood work to determine exactly which dental materials are compatible with my body. She also helped me begin understanding and improving my dental microbiome—something that simply cannot be addressed unless a provider is willing to look deeper and run the appropriate testing.

Before I ever walked through her doors, Dr. Maya had already carefully reviewed all of the information I had sent regarding my dental history, concerns, and goals. She came to our initial appointment fully prepared and ready for a meaningful discussion about my care. I never felt like just another patient on the schedule.

I drive an hour each way to see her, and I would gladly drive much farther to remain under her care. She is exceptionally knowledgeable, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about helping her patients achieve optimal health. She never rushes appointments, takes time to answer every question, and approaches each conversation with both expertise and compassion.

Dr. Maya's approach to healthcare is personalized, relationship-based, and centered on the patient's overall well-being. It is how family healthcare should be, but unfortunately rarely is today.

I’m in a horrible situation just now because of another dentist. I have anxiety just seeing a dental chair. The staff at Alpha are very professional and the equipment is state of the art. Taylor at the front desk was very helpful and patient with me. All staff members were gentle and compassionate to my situation. My only concern was that I didn’t get to meet the doctor. My treatment plan is quite complicated and expensive and I have to figure out how I am going to pay for it. Thanks to everyone for your kindness, and Dr Assi I look forward to meeting you.
